Day 1: Arrival Amman – Amman Hotel

Upon arrival to Queen Alia Airport meet and assist and Transfer to the hotel in Amman for overnight.

 

Day 2: Amman City Tour – Jerash – Amman Hotel

Amman “Cultural capital of the Middle East” is also the capital of Jordan. You will start with a city tour of Amman, visiting the Citadel, the Roman theatre after which you will head towards the historic North Country.

Jerash, the Greco-Roman city known as the ‘Pompeii of the East’. Built over 2,000 years ago, Jerash is widely regarded as the best-preserved city of the Decapolis, a confederation of 10 Roman cities dating from the 1st century! We’ll explore the site taking in the colonnaded street, amphitheater and more.

Return back to Amman for overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Amman Hotel – Allenby Bridge – Jerusalem visit – Jerusalem Hotel

After breakfast, collection from your hotel and transfer to Allenby bridge for crossing.  Enter to Jerusalem and the tour begins with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Continue for a walking tour of the Old City which includes Mount Zion, the Cardo, Via Dolorosa (The Stations of the Cross), the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Western Wall.

Overnight Jerusalem Hotel.

 

Day 4: Jerusalem Hotel – Masada – Allenby Bridge – Petra Hotel

After breakfast collection from your hotel and drive via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea area. Visit Masada (ascend/decent by cable car), the fortress of King Herod and the last stronghold of the Zealots.

Back to Allenby Bridge to cross into Jordan, travel southwards to Petra overnight at hotel in Petra.

 

Day 5: Petra full day tour – Amman Hotel

Petra is the legacy of the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site Much of Petra’s appeal comes from its spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge. The intrepid can ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir. Better known as the Monastery, Ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury, but is far bigger and the views from the nearby cliff-tops are awesome. Return to Amman for overnight.

 

Day 6: Amman Hotel – Madaba – Mt Nebo – Dead Sea – Amman Hotel

After breakfast we drive to Madaba, to see the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. We head to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses looked at the Promised Land before he died. You visit the monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of Israel. Then onto the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you have free time and the chance to float in it’s warm salty waters.

Day 7: Amman Hotel – Amman Airport

After breakfast transfer to Queen Alia Airport to say farewell and board your flight.
